Australian visitors at TGGaA!
In November 2019 the eighth grade bilingual class were visited by Australian exchange students. The pupils from TGGaA welcomed the guests with a big buffet of Christmas biscuits, Lebkuchen, Spekulatius and tea. After the Australian girls introduced themselves (and so did we) we were separated into groups of three Germans and Australians. When everybody had enjoyed the food and drinks the visitors were given a tour of our beautifully refurbished school building. They were shown our amazing cafeteria, our gymnasium floors, stages and the Unterer Anger. They also enjoyed our rock climbing wall immensely. We talked a lot and at the end of the day the whole group had become good friends. We had a huge amount of fun and when they had to leave we promised to keep in touch. After they had left some eighth graders decided to surprise them by meeting them at Marienplatz Christmas markets to wish them bon voyage! Some of us are still in touch today and talk often. All of us had a great time and hope to see our new friends again in the near future. Thank you so much for visiting us on your day-trip to Munich!
